The gift
What is Enduring Voices?
Enduring Voices turns someone's answers into one beautifully produced audio episode in their own voice. Tell us about them and we help you craft 5 questions drawn from their life — not a generic list. You can edit or replace any of them, and you ask every one in your own voice. They just talk, and we produce the finished episode, a full transcript, and a keepsake PDF.
What does it cost?
$24.99, once. One episode, one purchase. There is no subscription, no plan, and nothing renews.
How long does the recording take?
Most people finish in half an hour or so. Each answer can run up to 10 minutes, inside a 60-minute total across the whole episode — and they can stop and come back whenever they like.
Can I buy more than one episode for the same person?
Not yet. An additional episode will be available as a separate one-time purchase; we will announce it when it is ready. Your first episode is unaffected either way.
Claiming and recording
How does the recipient claim their gift?
They receive an email with a claim link. Opening it shows who the gift is from, the note you left, and the questions waiting for them. They sign in with a one-tap email link — there is no password to invent.
Does the claim link expire?
No. Nothing on Enduring Voices expires — not claim links, not episodes, not share links. They can claim it today or in two years.
What if they need to redo an answer?
They can re-record any answer before finishing. Only the final take is used, and drafts are never shown to the gifter.
What equipment do they need?
A phone or a laptop and a quiet room. No app to install, no microphone to buy. Headphones help but are not required.
What if they are not comfortable with technology?
The recording screen shows one question at a time with a single large button. Anyone who can answer a phone call can do this.
The finished episode
What exactly do we get?
A produced audio episode, a full written transcript, and a keepsake PDF of the transcript designed to be printed. All three are downloadable.
Can we download and keep everything?
Yes — free, with no account or subscription needed to keep and use what you've downloaded. The audio, the transcript, and the PDF all download with one tap, and once downloaded they are yours forever, on your own devices, under your control. Hosting is included for a minimum of four years from delivery and continues for as long as we operate — a convenience layered on top of ownership, never a condition of access.
Who owns the recording?
The recipient and their family. Not us. We host it and deliver it, and we never use it for anything else.
How do we share it?
The owner can create a share link and send it to whoever they choose. Share links never expire and can be revoked at any time. Nothing is public unless the owner shares it.
Premiere dates and Voice Time Capsules
What is a premiere date?
An optional date you choose at checkout — a birthday, an anniversary, a holiday morning. It holds the reveal until that day.
What is a Voice Time Capsule?
A gift you seal. You choose the day it opens — a birthday, a wedding, a graduation. Until then it stays closed to everyone, including you. On that morning it opens and we email you both. Once opened, it's yours to keep and download forever.
How far ahead can a capsule be sealed?
Up to four years from the day you buy it — the same term as our hosting guarantee. We only seal something for as long as we've promised to hold it.
What if the recipient's email changes before it opens?
Your receipt includes a private keeper link. It shows the open date and lets you correct their address. We also email you thirty days before it opens, so there's time to fix it. Email support@enduringvoices.com if you need a hand.
Privacy and safety
What can the gifter see?
Only whether the gift has been claimed, and the finished episode once the recipient sends it. Never in-progress recordings, retakes, or drafts.
Do you use recordings to train AI?
No. Never. We also never synthesize, clone, or recreate anyone's voice. The voice on an Enduring Voices episode is always the real person who spoke it.
Is content reviewed?
Transcripts are screened after transcription. If something is flagged, the episode is held for a person to review before delivery. Held content is never automatically deleted.
How do we delete everything?
From the account page, at any time. Deletion is permanent and completes within 30 days. Download your copies first — it cannot be undone.
Payment and support
Can I get a refund?
Yes — in full within 14 days of purchase, as long as the gift has not been claimed and recorded. Once the recipient has recorded, the episode exists and the purchase is final.
How do I contact a human?
